A flight linking East China’s cosmopolitan Shanghai and Casablanca, Morocco, will be introduced by China Eastern Air Holding Co Ltd’s Shanghai Airlines on January 19, the first regular flight operated by the carrier between the two cities, according to the Shanghai-based carrier.
The Shanghai-Casablanca flight would be the second route opened by China Eastern to Africa after launching flight between Shanghai and Egyptian capital Cairo last December.
Operational on every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday, the Shanghai-Casablanca flight will fly between Shanghai Pudong International Airport and Casablanca Mohammed V International Airport via Marseille of France.
Currently, Chinese citizens do not need tourist visas to travel to Morocco, and the flight will enrich their travel options in the upcoming Chinese New Year holiday.
Casablanca is the largest city, commercial port and industrial base in Morocco. The romantic city is known as the lung of Morocco and the Bride of the Atlantic for its unique culture and stunning views of the Atlantic coastline.
Tickets are available for purchase at the official website of China Eastern as well as on the app of the airliner.
