China-Italy Chamber of Commerce Announces Asia-Pacific Business Roundtable and Panda d'Oro Gala Awards 2025 - A Beacon for EU-China Economic Ties and Italian Excellence
Shanghai, China - In a landmark announcement, the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) has unveiled its highly anticipated Asia-Pacific Business Roundtable and Panda d'Oro Gala Awards 2025, set to take place on June 14th, 2025. This premier event, held under the patronage of the Embassy of Italy to the People’s Republic of China, the Consulate General of Italy in Shanghai, and the Italian Trade Agency (ITA), and in strategic collaboration with the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), SACE, SIMEST, and the network of Italian Chambers of Commerce in the Asia-Pacific region, promises to be a pivotal platform for dialogue on EU-China economic relations and a celebration of Italian excellence in the Asia-Pacific market.

The Asia-Pacific Business Roundtable, hosted at the prestigious Shanghai Design Innovation Institute, will bring together influential stakeholders to explore market entry strategies, innovation, sustainability, and regional synergies for Italian enterprises. The event is honored to have the support of ENI, a cornerstone of Italian excellence in the energy sector, and De'Longhi, underscoring the significance of this gathering.

Keynote speeches and panel discussions will feature esteemed speakers including Lorenzo Riccardi, Chairman of the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce; H.E. Massimo Ambrosetti, Ambassador of Italy to the PRC; Francesco Pensabene, Italian Trade Commissioner to China and Mongolia; Antonio Adinolfi, Director of AIIB; Davide Follador, Trade Section Counsellor of the EU Delegation to China; Donato Morea, Head of China and East Asia at SACE; Giuseppe Corcelli, Director of SIMEST ASEAN; and Gianni Di Giovanni, CEO of ENI China. Additionally, leaders from Italian Chambers of Commerce across Asia will share success stories and insights on regional trends.

Following the Roundtable, the evening will transition to the W Hotel – Shanghai for the Panda d'Oro Gala Awards, the signature event of the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce. This gala is a celebration of outstanding contributions by Italian and Chinese enterprises that embody the values of Made in Italy – quality, culture, and innovation. The Gala will feature 8 award categories, including the Panda D'Oro Award, Innovation Award, Destination Italy Award, Italian Excellence Award, Italian Taste Award, Sustainability Award, Turnaround Award, and Friendship Award (for Chinese companies). Thirty-nine nominated companies will compete for these prestigious accolades.
In recognition of the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Italy and China, the event will include a preview of the exhibition dedicated to Andrea Palladio and celebrations of the 100th anniversary of Treccani, a symbol of Italian knowledge, culture, and heritage. The gala will also pay tribute to Italian creativity and cinema in conjunction with the 2025 Shanghai International Film Festival.
