The new government office building in Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan, designed and managed by the China National Machinery Industry Corporation (Sinomach), officially opened earlier this month.
In recent years, Sinomach has actively participated in promoting the Belt and Road Initiative between the two countries, ensuring projects are both high in quality and delivered on time.
The hospital construction project in Shymkent, Kazakhstan, undertaken by Sinomach, covers an area of approximately 255,000 square meters. The project includes the construction of an 800-bed university-affiliated hospital and a medical center for clinical teaching and experimental research.
Upon completion, the hospital will become the most advanced modern comprehensive hospital in Shymkent, significantly improving local medical standards. The hospital will also introduce advanced Chinese medical concepts and equipment, enhancing local understanding and confidence in Chinese medical technology.
The newly-expanded Karaganda No. 3 Power Plant in Kazakhstan was successfully handed over by Sinomach in 2016. The units of the plant have been operating stably ever since, making it a major heat and power supply unit in Karaganda. The project included a new 670-ton/hour boiler, a 110 MW steam turbine generator and supporting facilities such as coal mills, cooling towers and electrical control systems.
The PVC Production Complex project, located in Navoi, a city in Uzbekistan well-known for chemical production, includes a production line with an annual output of 75,000 tons of caustic soda, 100,000 tons of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and 300,000 tons of methanol. It satisfies the raw material needs of downstream industrial manufacturing in Uzbekistan.
This project assisted the establishment of the first PVC production facility in Uzbekistan, using internationally advanced environmental protection technology to ensure clean emission of exhaust gases and zero discharge of wastewater. It has provided more than 900 jobs since operations began.
During the construction of a 500,000-ton nitric acid production line in Navoi, Sinomach undertook the provision of temporary facilities, civil construction and installation work. The project was a successful attempt at ‘third-party market cooperation’ between Chinese contractors and European EPC contractors. The project addressed the insufficient nitric acid production capacity in Uzbekistan, improved the local industrial capacity system and provided jobs for hundreds of local people.
Uzbekistan’s Olympic City for Asian Youth Games, undertaken by Sinomach, is located to the east of the capital, Tashkent. The project includes the construction of a modern sports complex with a stadium, a multifunctional gymnasium, an individual combat sports hall, a main office building, outdoor sports facilities and other supporting facilities. The project adheres to the design concepts of green technology. Once completed, it will be used to host the 4th Asian Youth Games 2025 and the 5th Asian Youth Para Games.
The sports complex is the first in Central Asia to fully adopt Chinese standards for design and construction.
