China Advances Intelligent Economy New Form, Boosting AI Integration Across Industries

"This means the single-point application of ‘AI + industry’ will shift to systematic restructuring of the entire industrial chain and economic links," said Xiao Xue, chief engineer of Inspur Group and chairman of Inspur Cloud. "The intelligent economy will mature new intelligent native formats such as intelligent agents and embodied intelligence, and reconstruct business models."

Large-scale AI application has been achieved in four key areas: people’s livelihood services, intelligent manufacturing, consumption upgrading and smart cities. Data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology shows that China has more than 6,000 AI enterprises, with the core industry scale expected to exceed 1.2 trillion yuan in 2025, and AI has covered key industries such as iron and steel, non-ferrous metals and power.

Lenovo China’s AI-driven growth performed brightly in the just-concluded 2025/26 fiscal year. Liu Jun, executive vice president of Lenovo Group and president of Lenovo China, said intelligent agent AI has entered a new stage of large-scale application, and Lenovo China will upgrade its "intelligent agent corps" to promote the co-creation of value between personal and enterprise intelligence.

Inspur Cloud, relying on Inspur AI Factory, has provided standardized AI solutions for more than 300 manufacturing enterprises, deploying nearly 1,000 intelligent agents and helping enterprises increase production efficiency by an average of over 20%. It has also built benchmark government intelligent agent applications in 24 provinces and cities, greatly improving public service efficiency.

Intelligent native formats are new business forms built with AI as the core underlying architecture from the start. "A popular concept now is the ‘one-person company’, where individuals use AI tools to independently complete the entire chain of product R&D, production, marketing and customer service," Xiao Xue gave an example, noting that this is a typical representative of new intelligent native formats.

With scenario-based application as the key entry point, China is accelerating the integration of AI with industrial development, releasing the potential of technological innovation and injecting strong vitality into high-quality economic development through the new form of intelligent economy.
