China Railway Construction Posts Solid 2025 Annual Results, Concluding 14th Five-Year Plan Successfully

Recently, China Railway Construction Corporation Limited (CRCC) released its 2025 annual results. The company maintained a new contract volume of 3 trillion yuan, with steady improvement in management efficiency, accelerated transformation and upgrading, and continuous empowerment from reform and innovation. All work achieved positive progress and remarkable results, successfully concluding the 14th Five-Year Plan period. 

China Securities Journal reports that CRCC adhered unswervingly to high-quality development, realizing effective improvement in quality and reasonable growth in quantity. Its total new contract volume reached 3.0765 trillion yuan in 2025, exceeding 3 trillion yuan for four consecutive years, demonstrating strong market resilience and core competitiveness. 

In terms of market operation, the traditional market remained stable. New contracts for railways and highways reached 311.6 billion yuan and 224.7 billion yuan respectively, with a year-on-year increase of about 16%. The emerging market expanded rapidly, with new contracts for mining and power projects hitting 226.5 billion yuan and 209 billion yuan, growing by about 18% year-on-year. 

Prioritizing overseas development, CRCC achieved a new overseas contract volume of 363.3 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 16% and a new historical high. This achievement fully reflects the company’s solid progress in integrating into the joint construction of the “Belt and Road” and expanding the global market.

Management efficiency was steadily improved. CRCC launched the “Comprehensive Improvement Year” for refined management, strengthening cost control and promoting intensive and refined project management to reduce non-productive expenses. Relying on the “CRCC Cloud Chain” platform, it vigorously promoted sunshine procurement, with the online procurement rate reaching 91%, a year-on-year increase of 20%. It also strengthened asset activation and the management of “three funds”, achieving a net operating cash inflow of 3 billion yuan and further improving its cash position. 

China Economic Net notes that CRCC accelerated its transformation and upgrading. It systematically promoted the renewal of traditional industries, built digital production management platforms and intelligent assembly line demonstration projects, and constructed the CRCC-characteristic “2+4+7” lighthouse factories. CRCC Heavy Industry was selected as an Excellent-level Intelligent Factory in 2025 by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. 

In emerging industries, CRCC improved institutional mechanisms, established new production relations compatible with new quality productive forces, and accelerated project implementation. Its operating income and total profit from emerging industries increased by 28.5% and 2.7% year-on-year respectively. 

Technological innovation drove development. CRCC made smooth progress in tackling key core technologies, completing 3 major landmark achievements in original technology sources. The “Iron Backbone” shaft boring machine was selected as one of the Top 10 National Heavy Equipment of Central Enterprises in 2025, a milestone achievement of the national key R&D program, marking a leap forward in China’s ultra-deep shaft boring equipment field. 

It also achieved fruitful scientific and technological innovation results, with 6,732 new authorized patents, and was approved as one of the first national industrial intellectual property operation centers. Zhang Qiang, Chief Technology Officer of CRCC, stated that the company will continue to take technological innovation as the core driving force to empower high-quality development.

Deepening reform stimulated vitality. CRCC steadily concluded the in-depth improvement action of state-owned enterprise reform, with remarkable results in “streamlining and strengthening the enterprise”. It optimized the talent selection and employment mechanism, with one person newly elected as an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and improved the salary assessment system to stimulate the enthusiasm and creativity of all employees.
