Gansu Public Transport Construction Group Posts Strong Growth in Q1 2026

Since the start of 2026, Gansu Provincial Highway and Transportation Construction Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Gansu Public Transport Construction Group) has maintained a strong momentum in operation and development, with all core operating indicators showing positive trends and steady improvement in development quality and efficiency, laying a solid foundation for high-quality development throughout the year. Zhonggongwang reported that all major economic indicators of the group increased by more than 20% year-on-year in the first quarter.

Data shows that in the first quarter, the group achieved an operating income increase of 38.75% year-on-year, a total profit growth of 21.78% year-on-year, a project construction investment increase of 29% year-on-year, and a new contract volume growth of 54% year-on-year, demonstrating robust progress in various work.

The group has deepened market development to expand increments, with project construction flourishing in multiple areas. Key subsidiaries including Road and Bridge Group, Baye Group and Public Development Group under the group won projects totaling 2.627 billion yuan in external markets such as Beijing, Shandong, Qinghai and Xinjiang. By optimizing the project management mechanism, three new projects with a total investment of 19.567 billion yuan, including S52 Jinzhang and S25 Tiancheng, have fully started, and 14 ongoing projects have resumed work at full speed, exceeding the phased goals.

Focusing on refined management to improve efficiency, the group has achieved remarkable results in cost reduction and efficiency improvement. Taking "three refined management" (excellence, efficiency and frugality) as the starting point, the group’s financial expenses and management expenses decreased by 8.81% and 1.86% year-on-year respectively in the first quarter. Through measures such as strengthening dynamic cost monitoring of ongoing projects with external experts, promoting centralized procurement and deepening the construction of the treasury system, the group has saved more than 40 million yuan in total, including 26.27 million yuan from centralized procurement and 13.73 million yuan from financing cost savings. It recovered 3.37 billion yuan in accounts receivable in the first quarter, with continuous improvement in capital turnover efficiency.

In addition, the group has made every effort to ensure road smoothness and convenient services. The Dingxi Wide Noodle Service Area has been put into use smoothly, further deepening the integrated development of transportation and tourism as well as industry and services. People’s Network reported that the service area, formerly known as Dingxi Service Area on G30 Lianhuo Expressway, aims to create an innovative model of road-derived economy through in-depth integration of "transportation + agriculture + cultural tourism".

Liu Tao, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Gansu Expressway Service Group Co., Ltd., said that they are committed to building a benchmark for the integrated development of "transportation + industry", allowing passing passengers to better experience Dingxi’s characteristics and consume local products. Dong Yanwen, Deputy Director of Dingxi Potato Industry Development Office, noted that Dingxi wide noodles, a core brand of Dingxi’s potato industry, has grown into a characteristic pillar industry with an annual output value exceeding 5 billion yuan.

Xinhua News Agency pointed out that Gansu Public Transport Construction Group is among the 10 provincial enterprises in Gansu with a year-on-year profit growth of more than 10% in the first quarter, contributing significantly to the province’s economic development.
