Guangdong State Trading Group Posts 53.1% Surge in Foreign Trade Volumes for First Half of 2026
According to Southern Metropolis Daily, Guangdong Materials Holding Group leverages its core strengths in commercial trade and integrated supply chain services to deliver steady foreign trade expansion, aligning operations with Guangdong’s Five External Linkages policy framework. The group builds a coordinated industrial layout focused on quality and efficiency gains, recording a 53.1 per cent year-on-year lift in total foreign trade turnover including transit business across the first six months of 2026.
The group secures stable, high-quality imports of bulk raw materials and key energy supplies, establishing direct procurement ties with major coal mines across Indonesia and Australia. Coal import volumes climb by 22.68 per cent year on year through the first half, with over eighty per cent of imported coal allocated to power stations based within Guangdong province to reinforce regional energy security. Iron ore import operations also register rapid volume growth, delivering consistent raw material support for local industrial manufacturing lines. Vessels loaded with coal imported under the group’s procurement frameworks complete regular berthing operations at coastal terminals throughout the province.
Business operations centred on automotive exports move toward regulated, full-spectrum service provision, with the group streamlining market conditions for cross-border vehicle trade. Overall volumes of vehicle export and transit business maintain upward momentum through the half-year window. Its dedicated comprehensive service platform for used car exports addresses operational hurdles faced by small and medium vehicle manufacturers, including fragmented end-to-end support and cumbersome cross-regional certification procedures. Coverage of local vehicle exporters utilising the platform continues to broaden, streamlining sustainable, orderly used car export activity across Guangdong.

The firm expands export channels for Guangdong-manufactured goods by innovating China Railway Express models paired with cross-border e-commerce operations, cutting operational lead times for all outbound shipments. Multiple transport metrics record measurable expansion in the first six months: return train services rise by 41 trips year on year, cross-border e-commerce container shipments increase by 715 containers, and specialised JSQ vehicle transport rail services add 16 additional departures. Dedicated freight infrastructure for the group’s China Railway Express routes maintains regular loading and departure schedules.
SMEs operating within Guangdong gain streamlined cross-border expansion support via Huashang GO Overseas Service Hub, a comprehensive digital platform incorporated into the provincial enterprise overseas development resource directory from February this year. The platform hosts more than 28,000 registered users and over one hundred industrial ecosystem partners, cataloguing upwards of 21,000 distinct product stock units sourced from Guangdong manufacturers. Twenty-four targeted capacity-building events take place for trade participants, while forty-nine local enterprises spanning food, electronics, home goods and automotive sectors receive coordinated support to attend international expos in Indonesia, Vietnam, Kazakhstan and other markets, generating direct cross-border commercial leads.
Digital intelligence tools unlock fresh momentum across all foreign trade segments, built upon the China (Guangdong) International Trade Single Window infrastructure. The group develops and runs three specialised digital platforms: a nationwide warehousing information hub for cross-border e-commerce, the Guangdong Global Trade integrated service portal, and a public risk prevention platform addressing international trade frictions. Customised enterprise profiling systems strengthen coordination with financial, insurance and logistics operators, rolling out tailored foreign exchange settlement tools including Zhihui Yi Import Payment and Yuezhimao Export Receipt services to lower operational costs for trading firms.
Digital transformation extends to the chemical and plastics sector through Duoduojia, an independently built e-commerce platform for bulk chemical commodity trading delivering one-stop cross-border trade solutions for outbound manufacturers. The platform earns recognition as a Guangdong High-Quality Hi-Tech Product and Service award in July this year. Polypropylene exported via Duoduojia reaches more than sixty economies including Indonesia, Thailand and Brazil, with export contracts totalling roughly 143,300 tonnes signed in the first half. Digital workflows streamline every stage of chemical product outbound logistics and sales.
The group deepens core operations within commercial and supply chain services over the remaining months of the year, scaling cross-border import and export trade alongside end-to-end foreign trade comprehensive services. All operational strategies align with Guangdong’s Global Trade Outreach initiative to advance high-standard cross-border commerce across the province.
