Gansu Cultural‑Tourism Group Drives Industrial Upgrading Through Diversified Integrated Development

According to People’s Daily Online, Gansu Cultural‑Tourism Group has stepped up its efforts to unlock local cultural‑tourism resources across Longyuan so far this year. It pursues digital transformation, business‑model innovation, platform‑based collaboration and institutional reform to foster new productive forces within the cultural‑tourism sector. By advancing multi‑faceted “cultural‑tourism plus” integration, the group opens up fresh industrial avenues and enriches product portfolios, steering the province’s cultural‑tourism industry towards greater diversification, differentiation and higher quality.

Marking the 90th anniversary of the victory of the Red Army’s Long March, the enterprise has joined forces with state‑owned cultural‑tourism operators from Jiangxi and Guizhou to launch a joint red‑tourism initiative in Ruijin, Jiangxi. Built on the principles of resource sharing and mutual visitor exchanges, the partnership deepens co‑operation across route development, market promotion and talent cultivation, and builds a stronger profile for integrated red‑culture tourism.

The group keeps building its branded study‑tour offering “Study Gansu”. It pilots an innovative framework where student visitor flows are exchanged for scenic‑spot resources, forming two‑way co‑operation platforms between educational institutions and industry. New business lines covering ticket distribution and cultural‑creative IP development are being rolled out. Partnerships are now in place with 131 educational establishments, bringing 20,000 student visitors to scenic sites.

A functional operating loop combining visitor‑flow sourcing, platform management and value‑added services takes shape, injecting new consumption momentum into the cultural‑tourism market.

Deep integration between cultural‑tourism and wellness is also underway. The “Joyful Good Times” wellness project has gone live at the Weiheyuan Scenic Area. The scheme blends ecological healing, cultural study‑tour experiences, health management and residential social engagement to deliver full‑cycle cultural‑tourism wellness services and sharpen the brand positioning of residential wellness offerings.

Targeted training courses for local cultural practitioners and digital‑technology practitioners run on a regular basis. Three standard sessions and four special‑topic workshops have been delivered in 2026, training 364 high‑skilled rural operators to support iterative upgrades of agriculture‑culture‑tourism business formats.

Further cross‑regional co‑operation will unfold alongside continued refinement of study‑tour and wellness product lines. The group will keep running tailored training programmes to nurture local practitioners, while rolling out additional integrated‑experience offerings to satisfy evolving market demands.
