Beijing releases latest batch of innovative tech achievements to empower industrial upgrading
According to the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission, Beijing has recognised and released more than 20,000 new products, new technologies and new services across 21 batches since 2014, steadily advancing in-depth integration of scientific and technological innovation and industrial development.
The city has recently launched a dedicated release event for its 21st batch of innovative sci‑tech achievements, marking the first concentrated release activity since the launch of the local recognition programme for new products, new technologies and new services. The newly unveiled batch comprises 370 new products, 108 new technologies and 19 new services.
Cutting‑edge information technology, high‑end equipment manufacturing, and pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors dominate the latest achievements, jointly accounting for over 70 per cent of the total volume. These fields represent key strategic directions for Beijing’s industrial transformation and technological iteration.

First introduced in 2014, Beijing’s recognition initiative for innovative sci‑tech outcomes underwent policy revision and upgrading in 2024. The updated mechanism continues to select original and disruptive scientific and technological innovations, delivering authoritative technical endorsement for market entities.
The programme will keep supporting local enterprises to expand market presence and connect with high‑quality industrial resources. It will further unlock the commercial and industrial value of innovative achievements, and sustain the steady progress of regional technological innovation and industrial optimisation.
