Yunnan Agricultural Development Group Posts Robust Growth in H1 2026 with Industrial Upgrading and Innovation

Yunnan Agricultural Development and State Farms Group has delivered solid operational results in the first half of 2026 amid province-wide quality and efficiency improvement initiatives. Centering on core agricultural sectors and industrial optimisation, the group achieved a 22.61 per cent year-on-year increase in total operating revenue, consolidating steady growth momentum across its core businesses.

The group maintains stable supply capacity for strategic agricultural materials by optimising product structures, extending industrial chains and scaling up production output. Its three core supply guarantee sectors have demonstrated strong market resilience. In the natural rubber sector, the group has expanded the production proportion of high-value products including tyre rubber, concentrated latex and premium special rubber. It produced 86,000 tonnes of dry rubber in the first six months, marking a 66.35 per cent year-on-year rise, and completed the reserve of 20,600 tonnes of provincial-level natural rubber, effectively stabilising regional market supply.

Grain business expansion has accelerated through diversified trade channel development, generating operating revenue of 1.184 billion yuan with a 77.53 per cent year-on-year growth. The grain trade volume reached 344,700 tonnes, up 81.78 per cent year on year. The volume of successful bids for grain reserve projects exceeds 2.15 times the full-year figure recorded in 2025, while logistics and warehousing business revenue rose by 36.13 per cent, maintaining full-capacity operation across storage facilities. In the sugar manufacturing sector, the 2025–2026 crushing season achieved a 13.73 per cent year-on-year increase in raw material processing volume, with sugar output surpassing 220,000 tonnes. A total of 82 comprehensive maintenance and overhaul projects have been implemented to lay a solid foundation for cost reduction and efficiency improvement in subsequent production cycles.

Deep integration of scientific and industrial innovation has injected new impetus into business development, with overall research and development investment rising 20.11 per cent year on year. The key technological project focused on green processing of high-performance natural rubber products won the 2025 Yunnan Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award. Yunnan’s first automated production line for 6,000 tonnes of high-performance rubber commenced operation, enhancing independent supply capacity for core industrial equipment.

Straw-based fully biodegradable agricultural mulch film has completed field verification across 195 mu of experimental farmland in eight prefecture-level cities, meeting preset technical indicators and supporting the cultivation of new quality productive forces in modern agriculture. A new agricultural product quality inspection and testing platform has entered internal trial operation with 17 sets of core testing equipment in service, covering pesticide residue, heavy metal and other critical safety indicators for agricultural products.

Intelligent agricultural management systems have been fully deployed at high-quality fruit and vegetable breeding bases in Songming, with field inspection robots put into practical field operation. High-standard farmland construction projects are being advanced steadily in Qiubei and Yimen, facilitating industrial upgrading and increasing local farmers’ income. Construction of modern flower and coffee industrial parks in Jinning progresses in an orderly manner, supporting the accelerated development of professional flower trading service platforms. The group is actively deploying agricultural supply chain systems and seed industries for Yunnan characteristic crops and natural rubber, translating industrial planning into tangible development outcomes.

Lean management mechanisms have been fully implemented throughout strategic deployment and daily operational procedures. Optimised comprehensive budget management and integrated business-finance supervision strengthen whole-process control over operational plans and monthly performance assessment. Revised procurement management rules and centralised procurement platforms helped cut costs by 5.71 per cent in the first half of the year, saving more than 12 million yuan in total expenditure.

Structural optimisation of financing channels and refined capital management have improved overall fund utilisation efficiency. In-depth institutional reforms have built a comprehensive system covering job ranking, performance appraisal and salary distribution, enabling two-way promotion for management, technical and skilled personnel. Optimised salary mechanisms deliver fairer income distribution and better career development pathways for all staff.
