Bank of Bohai Reports Solid Half‑year 2026 Results, Advancing Five‑pronged Real‑economy Finance Strategy
Bank of Bohai Co., Ltd released its interim financial results for the period ending 30 June 2026 on 28 August.
Total assets stood at RMB 2.028161 trillion at the reporting date, a rise of RMB 93.751 billion or 4.85 per cent from the end of the previous year. Total liabilities reached RMB 1.897854 trillion, up RMB 88.672 billion, equivalent to 4.90 per cent year‑end growth. Net profit for the first six‑month period came to RMB 4.151 billion, marking an 8.37 per cent year‑on‑year increase.
Throughout the reporting cycle, the bank prioritised technology‑enabled finance, green finance, inclusive finance, pension‑oriented finance and digital finance as core workstreams for supporting the real economy.
Within technology‑enabled finance, dedicated internal departments have been set up to build a tailored service ecosystem. The “Bohai Tech‑Innovation” integrated service framework continues to develop, delivering full‑cycle financial support covering start‑up, growth and mature‑stage technology‑focused enterprises, including national‑level specialised and sophisticated “little‑giant” firms. Loans extended to technology‑oriented businesses totalled RMB 70.448 billion at half‑year‑end, expanding by RMB 6.318 billion or 9.85 per cent compared with the close of the prior calendar year.
Green‑finance operations target key industrial segments in alignment with carbon‑reduction objectives. The bank carries out deep‑dive sector analysis and policy‑oriented support covering energy storage, wind power, new‑energy vehicles and artificial‑intelligence data centres. Its green‑loan portfolio reached RMB 59.680 billion as at 30 June, representing an increase of RMB 344 million, or 0.58 per cent, against the end‑2025 figure.

For inclusive finance, product suites are refined to embed services within real‑world business scenarios. Disbursements to small‑and‑micro enterprises totalled RMB 79.215 billion over the half‑year. The flagship digital inclusive‑finance offering “Bohai Digital E‑Loan” now incorporates nineteen branch‑led sub‑products. These tools deliver bespoke financial solutions and cater for individualised client requirements, further enriching the bank’s inclusive‑finance product range.
Pension‑oriented finance sees steady expansion of wealth‑related volumes. Specialised service teams are deployed to unpack comprehensive financial demands from pension‑age customers, creating age‑friendly service scenarios and broadening client reach. The number of individual pension accounts rises by 15.77 per cent year‑on‑year, while signed volumes for wealth‑management service trusts climb 84.21 per cent against the same period twelve months earlier.
Digital‑finance transformation is driven by technology investment, with digital capabilities accelerating across internal workflows. Technology spending hit RMB 564 million during the reporting period. Major technology programmes go live, including the full roll‑out of a new‑generation integrated treasury‑business management system. This platform establishes a unified digital operating foundation spanning multiple markets, diverse instrument classes and front‑to‑back‑office functions, lifting overall trading efficiency and risk‑management standards.
Existing digital infrastructure will underpin ongoing service delivery across the five strategic business lines. New system deployments are set to improve operational resilience as the bank continues allocating capital to priority real‑economy segments.
