Hunan’s Mid‑Autumn Holiday Consumption Sees Solid Growth
According to People’s Daily Online Hunan channel on 28 September, Hunan’s consumer market maintained steady and orderly performance throughout the Mid‑Autumn holiday period, as stated by the Hunan Provincial Department of Commerce. UnionPay transaction statistics show the daily average number of offline consumption transactions across the province rose by 26.84 per cent year‑on‑year, while daily average transaction value climbed 6.26 per cent.
The provincial‑wide consumer‑goods trade‑in programme recorded 81 000 subsidy claims worth a total of 40 million yuan, driving total sales of 323 million yuan during the holiday. Xiangtan launched its “Hundred‑Day, Thousand‑Shops, Hundred‑Million‑Yuan” subsidy campaign.
Over the festive break, sales of home appliances, audio‑visual equipment and motor vehicles in the city increased by 8.97 per cent and 6.03 per cent respectively compared with the same period a year earlier. Hengyang’s autumn motor‑vehicle expo combined fiscal subsidies, loan interest discounts and corporate offers, resulting in 2 192 new and used cars being sold for a combined turnover of 307 million yuan.

One hundred and eighty‑one businesses in Loudong introduced food discounts, hotel offers, supermarket rebates and retail concessions.
In Beihu District, Chenzhou, the Wuling Xintiandi commercial complex held prize‑draw promotions linked to league fixtures. Nearly 600 merchants took part, generating more than 13 000 redemptions and sales totalling 1.637 million yuan.
