Gansu Science and Technology Group advances high-quality development of advanced manufacturing
According to Gansu Provincial State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, published 19 October 2026, Gansu Science and Technology Group presses ahead with intelligent, green and integrated upgrading at the start of the 15th Five-Year Plan period, accelerating the shift of its subsidiaries from conventional manufacturing to advanced manufacturing.
Intelligent renovation unlocks greater operational efficiency for established industrial sectors. The group treats digital transformation as a core measure for manufacturing upgrading, guiding its affiliates to switch from experience-based operation to data-driven management.
AiliTe Company under Gansu Provincial Chemical Industry Research Institute has completed a 5G fully-connected factory, deploying ERP, MES, MOM, hazardous waste internet of things and energy management systems for full-process digital production control. The facility has received provincial recognition as a 5G fully-connected factory and Lanzhou municipal designation as a digital workshop.

The lightweight KEMAI ERP system independently developed by Gansu Provincial Machinery Research Institute delivers end-to-end digital transformation solutions to more than 50 enterprises, with the institute listed as a digital transformation service provider at provincial level and in regions including Tianshui and Haixi.
Northwest Yongxin carries out its three-pronged transformation programme, with tenders for equipment, pipeline installation and automatic control systems progressing as scheduled. Lanzhou Auxiliary Agent Plant has installed imported electromagnetic descaling equipment within its circulating water system to boost operational efficiency through intelligent means.
Green transition establishes a cleaner foundation for manufacturing. The group embeds green manufacturing across the whole production chain, steering subsidiaries towards low-carbon, circular and sustainable operations.
The Fine Chemical Innovation and Empowerment Pilot Platform operated by Gansu Provincial Chemical Industry Research Institute has been selected as a key pilot platform nurtured by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. It is the only platform of its kind in Gansu and one of just eight nationwide within the petrochemical and chemical sector. Its self-developed molecular sieve catalytic process achieves zero net growth of hazardous waste alongside cuts in energy consumption and production cycles, with large-scale production lines running stably.
AiliTe Company holds provincial green factory accreditation, recording an organic solvent recovery rate exceeding 95% and industrial water reuse rate close to 98%. Gansu Provincial Machinery Research Institute targets full-process green upgrading for copper alloy production, maintaining steady operation of an energy and carbon management platform to calculate product carbon footprints across full lifecycles.
Gansu Provincial Light Industry Research Institute joins a national roster of 70 industrial energy conservation and carbon reduction diagnostic service bodies, and will deliver diagnostic services to 11 industrial firms across Gansu. Four subsidiaries under the group have obtained provincial green factory status, forming an initial tiered development framework for green manufacturing.
Integrated development deepens links between innovation and industrial chains. The group leverages scientific and technological innovation to drive industrial advancement and pursue integrated research, production and service activities.
Phase II of the Lanzhou Auxiliary Agent Plant has entered trial production. As China’s first specialised manufacturer of organic peroxides, the plant prepares for a listing on the Beijing Stock Exchange, with over 30 product types now domestically produced to replace imported alternatives.
The copper alloy division of Gansu Provincial Machinery Research Institute has mastered complete casting technology for high-strength and high-ductility aluminium bronze. Its shield machine retainer ends long-standing overseas technological monopolies, bringing an 86% year-on-year rise in revenue for the copper alloy business.
Five national postdoctoral research stations run by the group cover fine chemicals, construction materials, light industry, machinery and equipment and other sectors, supplying talent to support industrial upgrading. A large-tonnage turnover machine and clean casting line developed by the machinery institute have been put into operation, while a root crop vibrating harvester fills a technical gap within Gansu province.
Gansu Science and Technology Group will continue to advance intelligent, green and integrated development routes, speed up the cultivation of new quality productive forces, and move more research outcomes from laboratories to production lines to support high-quality advanced manufacturing development in Gansu province.
