Xinsuo Railway Achieves Robust Cargo Transport Growth in Q1

BEIJING, April 7, 2026 — As of March 30, Xinsuo Railway under China Energy Group has achieved a total cargo transport volume of 40.729 million tonnes in the first quarter of 2026, exceeding the quarterly target by 44,000 tonnes, according to China Economic Net. The volume represents a year-on-year increase of 4.578 million tonnes, or 12.7%, laying a solid foundation for fulfilling the annual transport task.

Since the start of this year, Xinsuo Railway has focused on its annual goals, closely monitoring the revenue and transport growth of Xinzhun Railway. It has rolled out a series of innovative measures, including exploring the "platform whole-package" cooperation model, implementing "one-stop" logistics services, and launching the "one-ticket" settlement model, as reported by Xinhua News Network Inner Mongolia Channel.

These initiatives have yielded remarkable results: Xinzhun Railway set new historical records in both daily coal transport volume and self-loading volume on March 28 and 30 respectively. Its cargo volume increased by over 3.3 million tonnes in the first quarter, a year-on-year surge of 78%.

Adhering to the marketing philosophy of "quantity first, value-oriented, and customer-centric", Xinsuo Railway has seized favorable market opportunities to continuously optimize its logistics general contracting business model. With high-quality services, it has unlocked additional transport potential, achieving over 3 million tonnes of logistics general contracting shipments in the first quarter.

To cope with market fluctuations, the railway has taken multiple measures to boost the shipment volume of externally purchased coal, accomplishing the first-quarter "full success" target 21 days ahead of schedule. It has dynamically aligned with coal mine supply demands, optimized vehicle configuration, and assigned special personnel to supervise coal sources and coordinate venues, smoothing out bottlenecks in the entire chain from resources to loading and unloading.

Hang Liping, deputy director of the Production Dispatching Center of Dazhun Company under Xinsuo Railway, noted that the company has fully launched special winter equipment maintenance work, safeguarding transport stability through comprehensive measures in personnel, equipment and emergency response. Such efforts have underpinned the steady growth of cargo transport.

In addition to optimizing services, Xinsuo Railway has implemented freight coordination settlement policies at six stations along its route, returning an average of 40 yuan per tonne of coal to customers and reducing their total transport costs by nearly 20%, which further enhances its market competitiveness.
