Hainan Consumer Expo Kicks Off, Unlocking New Tech Experiences and Boosting Global Cooperation

Recently held as scheduled in Hainan, the China International Consumer Products Expo (CICPE) features eight distinctive pavilions, with "new, novel, special and cool" as its most prominent label. On April 14, reporters found on-site that cutting-edge technology is moving from laboratories to daily life scenarios and from product innovation to ecological co-construction. Meanwhile, the expo continues to unlock new life experiences and build a new bridge for global open cooperation.

The expo venue was crowded with visitors, boasting a strong experience atmosphere. More than 200 new technological products were launched collectively, doubling the number from last year, with many focusing on core people’s livelihood needs such as daily wearables and health preservation. Among them, the smart wearable sector has become a "vanguard" for technological implementation.

"The screen stays still even when I turn my head, and I can work in split screen," praised a designer while experiencing the VITURE Beast spatial fixed-screen XR (Extended Reality) glasses at the Taobao Tianmao Group booth. This 2026 flagship model is equipped with a dedicated XR computing engine, achieving "spatial screen fixing" through ultra-low latency 3DoF (Three Degrees of Freedom) motion tracking technology, supporting split-screen operations and seamless switching between entertainment and mobile office scenarios.

On the other side of the booth, MLVision Xuanjing M6 AR (Augmented Reality) glasses stood out with their modular design. The basic model can be equipped with functional modules via magnetic suction, offering navigation, real-time translation and other functions, breaking the pain point of electronic products being discarded after upgrading. Rokid, popular among young consumers, brought the world’s lightest full-function AI+AR glasses in mass production, weighing only 49 grams.

According to People’s Network, Huawei’s Shangjie Z7T made its debut and won popularity immediately. This pure electric mid-to-large vehicle features "on-the-go beauty cabin" and "mobile nap room" scenarios, equipped with water ion air conditioning, Nobel Prize-winning MOF sterilization materials and silver-plated dimmable sunroof, integrating health and skin care into travel.

Many life-oriented embodied intelligence products attracted numerous visitors. At the Huitian booth, the world’s first land-air amphibious split-type flying car made a stunning appearance, turning the sci-fi vision of "commuting by flying car" into reality. After five years of consecutive holding, the expo has become an important window for global technological exchange and industrial cooperation.

Sheng Qiuping, Vice Minister of Commerce, stated that the CICPE has become a practical display platform for the institutional opening of Hainan Free Trade Port, with increasing international popularity and influence, and has grown into the largest consumer goods exhibition in the Asia-Pacific region.

As the guest country of honor, Canada participated with its largest-ever scale, with nearly 40 enterprises showcasing technological products. Ye Yupei, General Manager of Dashanxing China, said Hainan’s customs closure policy enables more efficient customs clearance and convenient import channels. Haikou National High-tech Zone organized 43 enterprises to participate with over 300 exhibits.

This year, the expo set up a Taiwan characteristic exhibition area for the first time, with 20 Taiwan enterprises participating. Wang Xinfeng, Business Manager of Taiwan Kangli Company, brought electric irons with Taiwan-made chips, hoping to find agents on the mainland. From foreign enterprises’ layout to cross-strait cooperation, the expo is extending the ecological cooperation chain and injecting new vitality into global technological consumption cooperation.
