Wuhe Boosts Textile & Apparel Sector via Intelligent and Digital Upgrading
Wuhe County, under Bengbu City of Anhui Province, has stepped up the intelligent and digital transformation of its textile and apparel industry through technological innovation, aiming to build a large-scale industrial cluster covering the whole chain from raw material processing to finished garment manufacturing, in a bid to support the development of the county-level economy.

By the end of 2025, Wuhe was home to 67 enterprises above designated size in the textile and apparel sector, with an annual output value exceeding 5 billion yuan. The county has taken innovation as the core driver to revamp its traditional textile industry, deploying digital tools and smart equipment across production procedures to improve efficiency, stabilise quality and enhance the overall competitiveness of the sector.
With a complete industrial layout, the local cluster integrates fibre production, weaving, dyeing and finished apparel making, forming a cohesive and efficient supply chain that serves both domestic and overseas market demand. The push for digital upgrading has streamlined production scheduling, inventory management and order delivery, enabling more flexible responses to market changes.
Supported by continuous technological input and industrial optimisation, Wuhe’s textile and apparel industry has evolved into a pillar sector for local economic growth. The steady expansion of enterprise scale and output value demonstrates the effective progress of industrial upgrading and the sound momentum of high-quality development in the county’s real economy.
