AVIC Forges Ahead with Solid Actions to Kick off 15th Five-Year Plan with a Good Start
With a clear blueprint and clarion call, Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) is forging ahead with determined efforts, striving to make a good start for the 15th Five-Year Plan through solid achievements. The group has made remarkable progress in flight testing, equipment R&D, production efficiency and technological innovation, demonstrating its strong strength in advancing high-quality development, China News Service reported.
AVIC Chengfei successfully completed systematic flight test training involving 10 aircraft models across 5 locations. With roaring engines and rolling airwaves, multiple types of aircraft took off in intensive sorties, covering manned and unmanned flights, internal and external fields, as well as scientific research and acceptance tests. The team integrated all elements including aircraft models, test conditions, aircrew resources and support forces, verifying single-aircraft and single-subject test tasks while exploring an efficient collaborative flight test model for multiple aircraft and tasks, promoting the integrated development of new productive forces and new combat capabilities.

Amid snow-covered landscapes and freezing temperatures, AVIC Flight Test Center has advanced various tasks in an orderly manner since the first flight of the new year on January 4. Focusing on the alpine flight test requirements, the center concentrated superior resources, made precise planning and seized the time window of minus 40 degrees Celsius to safely and efficiently complete the alpine tempering of test aircraft. In Genhe, AC332 helicopters were conducting alpine tests at minus 30 degrees Celsius to verify their performance and reliability in frigid environments, laying a solid foundation for airworthiness certification, China Economic Net stated.
In the Gobi outfield, the AVIC Hongdu team carried out operations in an orderly manner on nights as cold as minus 10 degrees Celsius. The team has accelerated the cultivation of new productive forces, strengthened the role of innovation platforms, deepened “agile + penetrating” supply chain collaboration, and focused on tackling key core technologies to optimize the aviation product spectrum.
In production workshops, digital transformation is driving efficiency improvement. Li Mengyue, monitor of the “Xue Ying Class”, a women’s team at AVIC Xifei, said, “To enhance production line efficiency, we focused on key parts and projects, set up a ‘20-minute quick response team’ and introduced a ‘digital eye’ for the safe and efficient delivery of aircraft.” The team explores digital twin and intelligent assembly technologies, optimizing processes and solving production bottlenecks. The class, named after the national model worker Xue Ying, has also made remarkable achievements in assembling Boeing 737 vertical tails, winning recognition from Boeing.
AVIC Shenfei has adopted large digital dashboards to display key task nodes of aircraft assembly, testing and commissioning in real time, ensuring transparent production progress. The team has formed a cross-domain collaborative and closed-loop production risk resolution model to guarantee stable and efficient operation of production lines, which is part of its efforts to build a “Digital Shenfei” with intelligent manufacturing as the core. AVIC Shenyang Institute has accelerated model task completion, optimized project management mechanisms and promoted the integration of R&D, testing and training to ensure a “good start” in scientific research and production in the first quarter.
Focusing on its primary responsibility of strengthening the military, independent innovation and advanced manufacturing, AVIC will continue to contribute more aviation power to advancing Chinese modernization and national rejuvenation.
