Guangdong Firm Steps Up Layout in Data Elements Sector at National Standardisation Event in Guangzhou

The first Standards Week event of the National Technical Committee for Data Standardisation in 2026 has kicked off in Guangzhou, where Guangdong Holdings for Exchange and Transaction Group took part in multiple key sessions amid continuous in-depth cultivation and systematic arrangement within the data elements sector.

The enterprise sealed a computing-data integration project to seize development opportunities in the Greater Bay Area Data Special Zone. At the launch ceremony of the Innovation and Cooperation Centre for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Data Special Zone, the group, serving as one of the first co-construction entities of the centre, signed the Trustworthy Data Space for Computing-Data Integration project. This initiative targets the development of infrastructure and service systems enabling secure and trustworthy data circulation under scenarios featuring deep integration of data and computing power. It marks a practical move to align with national strategies on market-oriented allocation reform of data elements and the development of the nationwide integrated computing power network, securing a firm foothold in the emerging track of integrated computing and data development.

A joint research initiative is unveiled to consolidate a reliable circulation ecosystem for spatio-temporal data. During the Pearl River Digital Bay event, a co-development research plan for a trustworthy data space tailored to the spatio-temporal geographic industry, with participation from the group, was officially released. Collaborators will jointly conduct research on standards and compliance rules, carry out verification of pilot application scenarios, facilitate ecological coordination and capacity building. The plan addresses long-standing bottlenecks including inconsistent standards, ambiguous ownership and inefficient circulation of spatio-temporal geographic data, and supports the orderly supply, compliant circulation and value monetisation of surveying, mapping and geographic information data.

The group has been selected into a provincial pilot programme to set an example for state-owned enterprises to boost data-driven operational efficiency. The Guangdong Provincial Administration of Government Affairs and Data and the Guangdong Provincial State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission have jointly rolled out a provincial initiative to elevate data quality and efficiency among provincial state-owned enterprises. As one of the first batch of pilot participants, the group will centre on core businesses including intelligent investment research report generation, intelligent asset revitalisation and leasing matching, as well as intelligent capital increase, share expansion and mixed ownership reform for enterprises. It will develop high-quality data sets and corresponding application scenarios to raise the efficiency of resource allocation and value discovery within its transaction businesses.

An enabling centre jointly built by multiple parties is inaugurated to foster a robust industrial ecosystem for the data sector. At the supply-demand matching event for high-quality data sets and the data labelling industry, the Enabling Centre for the National Pilot National Data Industry Cluster (Tianhe District, Guangzhou), co-established with the group’s participation, was officially inaugurated. Led by Tianhe District Government of Guangzhou City, the centre brings together central SOEs, municipal state-owned enterprises of Guangzhou and leading private enterprises across relevant industries alongside the group. It focuses on industrial incubation, integrated allocation of essential factors and shared utilisation of resources, building a full-chain, one-stop and high-calibre development ecosystem for the digital industry.

The group will implement the concrete arrangements outlined in the provincial Party Committee’s 1310 work plan. Rooted in its positioning to serve the development of a unified national market and efficient flow of production factors across the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, it will press ahead with digital transformation and strive to accelerate data connectivity, industrial revitalisation and value growth.
