Renhuai Transforms Rural Ecological Beauty into Prosperity Through Agri-Cultural-Tourism Integration
In the Caomu Nianhua Scenic Area of Canglong Sub-district, Renhuai City, Guizhou Province, clusters of milky white canopy tents are scattered neatly on the lush lawn. Tourists sit around chatting, barbecuing and entertaining, while children chase and play in the pet park, with laughter echoing through the countryside. Such scenes have become the new normal of rural tourism in Renhuai.
From the innovative breakthrough of the diversified "camping +" model to the comprehensive upgrading of the in-depth "flower viewing +" experience, Renhuai is vividly practicing the in-depth integration of agriculture, culture and tourism, effectively transforming the ecological "beauty" of the countryside into prosperity-boosting "output value".
"It takes only over half an hour to drive here from the urban area, and I never expected such a hidden leisure spot in the suburbs," said Chen Xue, a tourist barbecuing with friends. The "hidden gem" she mentioned is the camping base newly built by Canglong Sub-district this year. Relying on the natural endowments of Caomu Nianhua Scenic Area, the local area has launched a diversified "camping +" rural tourism model, with supporting facilities including all-inclusive parent-child activity areas, pet parks and barrier-free facilities, accurately meeting the diverse needs of young people for relaxation, friends gatherings and family trips.

People’s Network Guizhou Channel reported that this year’s Qingming Holiday saw the camping base fully occupied, with a daily average of over 500 tourists. Feng Zemi, an operator of the camping base, confirmed, "The passenger flow remained full during the Qingming Holiday, with a daily average of more than 500 visitors." Statistics from Canglong Sub-district show that in 2025, the area received more than 50,000 tourists, driving rural tourism consumption to exceed 1 million yuan.
If the camping economy in Canglong Sub-district represents the "new way" of rural tourism in Renhuai, the rapeseed flower sea in Yinshui Village, Gaodaping Town, interprets the "new value" of traditional resources. Every year when rapeseed flowers bloom, Yinshui Village turns into a golden ocean, with various interactive experiences launched this year, including fun sports meetings, Hanfu photography, rural concerts and bonfire parties with whole lamb feasts.
"Visiting here with my sisters today, I can really feel the changes brought by rural revitalization," said tourist Xu Mingli. In recent years, Yinshui Village has promoted the creation of a civilized village, held more than 40 "Renren Youjiang · Yinshui Classroom" activities and selected 80 civilized families and hygienic households. It has also learned from the "Ten-Thousand Project" experience to improve the environment and build a livable ecological health resort.
The flower sea has spawned a "flower economy" that boosts villagers’ income. Xiao Qijia, person in charge of Yinshui Village Four Seasons Kitchen, said, "Since the rapeseed flowers bloomed, the passenger flow has increased by 80% compared with usual, with tourists coming for the flowers, photos and farm dishes." Chen Yong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Mayor of Gaodaping Town, said, "We hope to take flowers as a medium to turn passenger flow into momentum for rural development."
