Golden Rape Blossoms Bloom Across Beijing, Attracting Tourists Ahead of May Day

As spring breeze sweeps across Beijing, stretches of golden rape blossoms have burst into bloom, painting the city with vibrant hues and filling the air with a sweet fragrance. With the May Day holiday approaching, these blooming flower fields in various scenic spots have become popular travel destinations, offering citizens and tourists a chance to embrace the beauty of spring.

Zigu Eden in Beijing is among the most popular spots, where endless rape blossoms resemble a golden carpet spreading across the ground. The garden hosts a Twelve Flower Gods themed activity until May 5, with 12 NPCs dressed as flower gods. Visitors can get a flower god manual upon ticket purchase and collect stamps by participating in 8 free interactive games to exchange for prizes. Flower god parades are held at 10:30 and 15:30 on weekends and holidays. Nearby, Beijing World Park, featuring nearly 100 miniature world-famous buildings, is also a perfect place for photos, with fresh green shoots and blooming flowers everywhere.

Jingcheng Pear Garden in Chaoyang District boasts hundreds of mu of rape blossoms, turning the urban edge into a gentle rural scene. The garden opens from 7:00 to 21:30, and the flowering period lasts from early April to early May. Wandering through the garden, visitors are greeted by glittering golden petals and a light sweet scent, with winding bamboo paths and orange archways adding elegance to the flower sea.

The first Guai Village Flower Sea Cultural Festival kicked off in Guai Village, Wangzuo Town, Fengtai District, and will last until May 5. Centered on the theme "Rush to Guai Village, More Than Flowers", the festival integrates flower viewing, intangible cultural heritage performances, parent-child activities and trendy games. Folk food streets offer delicious intangible heritage snacks from Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei, while cultural and creative streets display local products and traditional crafts like Beijing Rabbit God, paper-cutting and kites.

Other notable spots include Yongledian Town in Tongzhou District, where vast rape flower fields provide perfect photo opportunities. Wenyu River Park Chaoyang Demonstration Zone and Beiwu, Zhongwu, Yudong Country Parks also feature beautiful rape flower fields. The Yunshang Terraced Fields in Wenyu River Park will be in full bloom during the May Day holiday, with the adjacent Chaohuaxi Shi Restaurant offering a cozy dining experience surrounded by nature. The three country parks in Haidian District, with their staggered terraced flower fields and pleasant scenery, are ideal for a relaxing spring outing.
