New Three Qin Set Meal Unveiled in Xi’an, Showcasing Shaanxi’s Food-and-Wine Fusion

Xi’an, June 5 — The “New Three Qin Set Meal” was officially launched at the “Millennium Shaanxi Cuisine, Capital of Carbohydrates” event held in Xi’an on June 5. Hosted by Shaanxi Radio and Television Group and the Shaanxi Cultural Industry Association, the ceremony also unveiled five core offline consumption scenarios, marking a new phase for the integration of Shaanxi cuisine and local wine.

The launch event featured seven sessions, including keynote speeches, project promotions, salon discussions, initiative releases, cooperation signings, Han costume performances and product exhibitions.

Dedicated tasting zones for Shaanxi’s special food and wine, alongside immersive cultural displays, fully demonstrated the latest achievements in product innovation, scenario creation and upgraded consumer experiences within the “Shaanxi Cuisine + Shaanxi Wine” framework.

Rooted in the cultural heritage of “Millennium Shaanxi Cuisine” and “Millennium Xifeng Wine”, the New Three Qin Set Meal centres on a core combination of iconic local dishes and the small green bottle of Xifeng Wine, rolling out five tailored consumption scenarios. Three classic combinations — “small green bottle with oil-sprayed noodles”, “small green bottle with cold skin and roujiamo”, and “small green bottle with huluotou paomo” — authentically reflect the everyday dining culture of Shaanxi, catering to both local residents and visiting tourists.

A summer-focused “small green bottle with barbecue” scenario aligns with the growth of night-time economies, while an innovative “small green bottle mixed drink” option targets younger consumers, breaking traditional boundaries for baijiu and expanding its appeal among new demographics.

The initiative forms a key part of the “Millennium Shaanxi Cuisine, Capital of Carbohydrates” cultural empowerment project, supported by the Publicity Department of Shaanxi Provincial Party Committee, the Department of Industry and Information Technology, the Department of Commerce and the Department of Culture and Tourism.

It aims to drive mutual promotion between Shaanxi cuisine and Xifeng Wine, expand distribution channels, stimulate consumption potential, and build a sustainable model for integrated food-and-wine development in the region.

The project will inject momentum into the high-quality growth of Shaanxi’s consumer goods, catering and cultural tourism sectors.
