Spring Ploughing in Full Swing in Hulunbuir, Inner Mongolia
As the spring ploughing and preparation season arrives, the land of Hulunbuir City in Inner Mongolia is filled with a vibrant atmosphere of seizing the farming season and preparing for production. As a major grain-producing area, Hulunbuir has closely focused on the goals of the new round of the 100-billion-jin grain production capacity improvement campaign this year, striving to maintain the grain sown area at over 24.5 million mu and fully enhance the comprehensive production capacity of planting industry. At present, all regions of the city have made early plans and taken proactive actions, focusing on the transportation and reserve of key agricultural materials such as chemical fertilizers, and fully accelerating the "fast track" of spring ploughing preparation to lay a solid material foundation for a bumper grain harvest throughout the year.
Recently, an 18-car freight train loaded with 1,180 tons of high-quality agricultural chemical fertilizers arrived at Arongqi Station on the Aza Railway. The diammonium phosphate and compound fertilizers, sourced from Guizhou, Hubei and other regions, were efficiently transferred at the railway freight yard with the help of automatic loading and unloading equipment, as staff worked with clear division of labor and close coordination to load and distribute the fertilizers in an orderly manner. This batch of agricultural materials will be directly delivered to local agricultural dealers in Arongqi, as well as the planting frontlines in towns such as Sanchahe, Chabaqi, Huoerqi and Fuxing, while radiating surrounding areas including Gannan and Zhalantun, effectively opening up the "last mile" of agricultural material supply and fully meeting the rigid demand for chemical fertilizers for spring ploughing.

To ensure that spring ploughing fertilizers reach the fields quickly, Arongqi has innovatively established an integrated working mechanism of "dispatching, transportation, freight and marketing". It has made early overall arrangements for transport vehicles and professional loading and unloading machinery, and greatly improved the efficiency of material transfer with the help of intelligent logistics technology, enabling large quantities of agricultural materials to be loaded, unloaded and distributed within hours. This fully leverages the core advantages of railway transportation, such as large capacity and low cost, with a steady stream of chemical fertilizers arriving at the grassroots through special railway lines, injecting strong momentum into Arongqi’s spring ploughing production.
Across the entire Hulunbuir City, spring ploughing preparations are in full and orderly swing. At Hulunbuir Agricultural Reclamation Xiertala Animal Husbandry Farm Co., Ltd., the loading, unloading and storage of chemical fertilizers are in full swing, presenting a busy scene of preparation. The company undertakes the sowing task of 320,000 mu of cultivated land this year, and the supply of required agricultural materials is progressing steadily, with the chemical fertilizer supply progress already exceeding half, laying a solid early guarantee for spring sowing.
Targeting the growth characteristics of different crops such as wheat, rape, sugar beet, potato and corn, the animal husbandry farm has accurately planned the types and allocation quantities of chemical fertilizers to be purchased. It plans to purchase 6,226 tons of various chemical fertilizers this year, and the supply work is accelerating, with all expected to be in reserve before spring sowing, providing sufficient fertilizer guarantee for 320,000 mu of cultivated land.
Guaranteeing agricultural materials is equivalent to guaranteeing the harvest. This year, Hulunbuir has further promoted the new round of the 100-billion-jin grain production capacity improvement campaign, deepened the "four good" integration model (good farmland, good seeds, good machinery and good methods), integrated resources from projects such as green high-yield and high-efficiency actions and water-fertilizer integration, and plans to promote 1 million mu of water-fertilizer integration technology to fully consolidate the foundation of grain production.
In terms of agricultural material supply guarantee, the city has strengthened supply and demand dispatching, strictly regulated market supervision, and made every effort to ensure sufficient supply and high quality of agricultural materials. According to agricultural statistics, the city is expected to need about 570,000 tons of chemical fertilizers for spring ploughing, and all kinds of agricultural materials will be fully reserved by early April. In the next step, Hulunbuir City will continue to optimize the process of agricultural material transportation and reserve, closely monitor the fluctuation of agricultural material prices, strictly regulate the market order, fully escort spring sowing production, and strive to achieve a good start in agricultural production throughout the year.
