Longjiang Forest Industry Group Completes Spring Farming Preparations on Black Soil

As spring revives China’s black soil region, Longjiang Forest Industry Group has fully advanced spring farming preparations with a commitment to early planning, prompt action and thorough implementation.

People’s Network reported that the group has basically completed all spring farming preparation work across its forest areas to date, with key tasks—including agricultural material reserves, agricultural machinery maintenance, land arrangement, and straw returning and removal—all fully in place, thereby laying a solid foundation for a bumper annual harvest.

In 2026, the inaugural year of the 15th Five-Year Plan and the final year of the group’s three-year campaign for high-yield grain crops, Longjiang Forest Industry Group plans to sow 5.8 million mu of grain crops, comprising 2.12 million mu of corn, 3.32 million mu of soybeans and 240,000 mu of rice.

This planting plan is closely aligned with the group’s core responsibilities of safeguarding national food security and facilitating the revitalization of Heilongjiang Province.

To ensure the smooth achievement of grain production targets, the group has consolidated responsibilities at all levels, strengthened inter-departmental coordination, and deployed agricultural technicians to provide on-site services in designated regions.

This targeted approach has effectively addressed the practical difficulties encountered by employees in spring farming, fostering a sound working mechanism characterized by multi-level collaboration and joint management.

While strictly upholding the cultivated land red line, all units within the forest areas have continuously optimized the planting structure, developing high-value and high-efficiency crops such as vegetables, Chinese medicinal materials and edible fungi in light of local conditions, so as to enhance the quality and efficiency of forest-based agriculture.

Relying on existing blended fertilizer factories in various units, the group vigorously promotes soil testing and formula fertilization and strictly controls the quality of agricultural materials. Tongbei Bureau Company has reserved more than 3,000 tons of formula fertilizer in advance, which is accurately delivered to the fields.
