Shanxi Provincial Agricultural Mechanization Development Center Advances "Four Strivings" Activity to Boost High-Quality Development

To further promote the in-depth implementation of the study and education on establishing and practicing a correct view of political achievements, and enable every Party member and cadre to have clear goals, learn from models, set benchmarks and strive for progress, the Shanxi Provincial Agricultural Mechanization Development Center has carried out the "Four Strivings" activity among all its staff, achieving remarkable results.

The center has organized all staff to implement the spirit of the "Four Implementations in Place" requirements, establishing a leading group for the "Four Strivings" activity with the main leader as the group leader, deputy leaders as deputy group leaders and heads of various departments as members. A selection plan for the "Four Strivings" activity has been formulated, clearly defining the selection scope, criteria, procedures, result application and quota setting, which provides solid organizational guarantee and policy basis for the smooth development of the activity.

To fully mobilize the enthusiasm of all staff, the selection scope covers all cadres and staff below the deputy director level of the center, all Communist Party members (including probationary Party members) whose organizational relations are with the center, as well as 8 dispatched workers. The selection adopts a combination of online and offline methods, as well as branch recommendation and Party committee research. Each branch initially recommends advanced model candidates for each category, and the General Office summarizes the recommended candidates from all branches.

A total of 12 "Pioneer Party Members", 8 "Policy Experts", 10 "Action-oriented Cadres" and 13 "Advanced Models" entered the online voting session through the WeChat mini-program. The final selection results were submitted to the Party committee for comprehensive evaluation, and 16 people were finally selected as the "Pioneer Party Members, Policy Experts, Action-oriented Cadres and Advanced Models" in the first quarter after no objection was raised in the public notice.

People’s Network reported that as of the end of 2023, Shaanxi Province had more than 4.5 million sets of agricultural machinery and equipment, with a total power of 25.13 million kilowatts, and the comprehensive mechanization rate of ploughing, sowing and harvesting of major crops reached 73.3%, an increase of 1 percentage point over the previous year. The "Four Strivings" activity has further stimulated the enthusiasm of staff to work hard.

On April 17, the center organized all cadres and staff to hold a commendation meeting for the "Four Strivings" in the first quarter, reading out the commendation notice, presenting ribbons to the models, posting color photos in the window and publicizing their advanced deeds. In addition, a congratulatory letter was sent to the family members of each award-winning comrade, which received a strong response from the family members.

After the meeting, each Party branch held in-depth discussions around "learning from models, what to learn and how to learn". Staff generally reflected that the 16 advanced models are approachable and learnable, such as their dedication at work, modesty and humility in dealing with others, safe driving of 1,500 kilometers in 5 days, and rigorous financial management. All staff said they would take the advanced models as benchmarks, put the establishment and practice of a correct view of political achievements into post practice, learn from the models’ deeds, set an example and test the effectiveness of study and education with solid work achievements.

Looking ahead, the Shanxi Provincial Agricultural Mechanization Development Center will continue to deepen the "Four Strivings" activity, further explore and make good use of advanced typical deeds, and stimulate the upsurge of "learning from models, catching up with models and surpassing models" among all staff. People’s Network pointed out that Shaanxi Province will further increase the promotion of high-performance agricultural machinery, improve the level of agricultural mechanization integration, and the center’s efforts will effectively promote the high-quality development of the province’s agricultural mechanization cause.
