Sinopec Rolls Out Nationwide Fuel Support Network to Secure China’s Summer Harvest Campaign
According to Guangming Online, Sinopec has leveraged its dominant position in the domestic refined oil supply chain to ramp up fuel provision and farmer-support services throughout this year’s Sanxia agricultural campaign, covering summer grain harvesting, summer sowing and crop maintenance across the country. A total of 11,000 dedicated refuelling stations for farm machinery have been set up nationwide, alongside 12,000 exclusive green lanes for agricultural vehicles, with all operations tailored to smooth field harvesting and safeguard full collection of summer grain yields.
Comprehensive fuel resource coordination forms the core framework of the company’s supply guarantee scheme. To keep pace with tight harvesting timelines, Sinopec’s sales subsidiaries have completed advance planning and cross-regional allocation of oil stocks. Oil depots in key grain-producing regions maintain round-the-clock loading and delivery operations to sustain steady fuel flows. Specialised mobile refuelling teams dispatched by Sinopec’s retail divisions have delivered fuel to farm plots on more than 2,000 separate occasions, eliminating logistical bottlenecks at the final delivery stage of agricultural oil distribution.

Henan Province stands as a core national grain production base, with local diesel demand hitting approximately 200,000 tonnes over the Sanxia period. Sinopec Henan Branch has pre-stored 220,000 tonnes of diesel, releasing nearly 400,000 tonnes of petrol and diesel to regional markets. The branch deploys 376 dedicated delivery lorries and operates over 1,600 self-owned filling stations to cover fuel needs for 250,000 farm machines operating within provincial borders. Mobile refuelling squads from Nanyang under the branch deliver diesel directly to harvesters working on wheat fields to cut downtime for agricultural equipment.
All designated supply stations under Sinopec operate as integrated service hubs for farm machine operators, running a standard service package labelled three priorities and one free benefit: priority refuelling, discounted fuel pricing, enhanced auxiliary amenities and complimentary rest spaces for field workers. Hubei Sinopec operates close to 1,000 supply stations and assembles mobile refuelling fleets to reach scattered farmlands with limited road access, delivering uninterrupted fuel supplies during the narrow harvesting window.
A full suite of preferential policies is rolled out to ease operational costs for growers and machine operators. Sinopec issues free discount fuel cards exclusive to farm machinery operators, paired with integrated online payment channels and recharge rebate incentives. Station staff in major farming zones distribute drinking water, instant meals and washing supplies to field workers free of charge.
Sinopec Anhui Branch runs almost 500 fixed supply stations and opens 670 dedicated green lanes, introducing tiered discounts for bulk diesel purchases with maximum price cuts of 18 per cent for agricultural machinery fuel. Henan’s 1,617 farmer-friendly stations feature full location data published on the official platform run by the provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, while an online Sanxia service portal allows instant lookup of refuelling locations. Driver service lounges at these stations provide free laundry, hot meals, showers and rest facilities for travelling machine operators.
The national summer grain harvest now enters its concluding push across China. Sinopec continues to deliver consistent fuel supplies and thorough on-site support services to stabilise domestic grain output, delivering robust energy backing for national food security across rural farmlands.
